Overview

Spike Essential is a Lego course that teaches children about robots and programming in a fun and engaging way It’s a great game that teaches science, technology, engineering, and math. in an easy and fun way. The idea of the course is that you build robots from its own Lego pieces, but these are not ordinary Lego pieces, these are Lego pieces that come with motors, sensors and other things related to programming. After you build the robot, you use the Spike program on the computer or tablet to program your robot.

What will your child learn?

1. They learn computer skills (how to use the operating system, printing and writing, using the internet, using applications, and basic programming concepts). 2. Disassembly and assembly and formation of models from Lego tools and others as a gateway to the world of mechanical design, which develops his creative aspects. 3. Using a simplified set of sensors to make the robot interact well with the environment. 4. Basics of thinking and problem solving and some simple algorithms by learning some basic programming concepts and controlling the designs he previously created, using fun methods that suit his age.

Why This Course

The program relies on an easy and simple interface, you can try to move the robot and teach it movements and give it different commands. The best thing about the program is that it helps you think creatively and solve programming problems. This means that you will be the little engineer who builds and programs his own robot.

And finally, you will see the robot you built execute all the commands you programmed and perform amazing movements. You will be very proud of your success and you will benefit from the skills you have acquired in science and technology

Finally, you will see the robot you built execute all the commands you programmed and perform amazing movements. You will be very proud of your success and you will benefit from the skills you have acquired in science and technology.

The curriculum is designed in the form of a series (each episode the heroes of the series face a problem) where the training session goes as follows:
1 Brainstorming is done between the trainer and the students to reach solutions to the problem.
2. These solutions are compared and the best solution for this situation is settled on.
3. It is applied practically in the form of small groups, programming commands through the computer to achieve the desired goal. This works to develop: by designing robots with specific shapes and giving them programming commands through the computer to achieve the desired goal. This works to develop:
3-1 Problem Solving Skills
3-2 Critical Thinking Skills،

3-3 (Design Thinking Skills).

4 .. The latest technologies are used to ensure a suitable learning environment for children. The Gamification principle is used, which is the application of game technology elements in a non-game setting. This includes: Each session includes some carefully selected intelligence games (played during the students’ break time) to develop (problem-solving skills), train them to be patient with the outcome and to keep trying to reach the desired solutions.”

Students are also qualified to participate in world championships and obtain advanced positions in them, which opens up travel opportunities for them and facilitates scholarships, as happened with some of Tekatech students
